Tuition Covered by Arkansas LEARNS
The short version
Arkansas’s LEARNS Act created Education Freedom Accounts — state funds that follow your child to the school you choose. Cornerstone Christian Academy is a participating provider. For families who qualify, an EFA award covers full-time microschool tuition here in full.
You do not need to be a current CCAV family to apply, and your child does not need to be enrolled before you start the application.
What it covers
The Education Freedom Account award for the 2026–27 school year is $7,208 per student, paid to the school in four quarterly installments.
Full-time tuition in the CCAV microschool is $3,500 per semester — $7,000 for the school year. For an approved family, the EFA award covers tuition in full.
Registration and supply fees are billed separately. We will walk you through exactly what your family would owe, if anything, before you commit to anything.
How to apply
Applications go from parents directly to the Arkansas Division of Elementary and Secondary Education — not to CCAV. When you apply, you indicate your intent to enroll in a microschool.
You will need proof of Arkansas residency, your child’s birth certificate, and immunization records. The state handles approval; once your child is approved and enrolled here, funds are disbursed to CCAV on the state’s quarterly schedule.

When to apply
The state runs one application window per school year. It has closed on June 1 for each of the last two years, and the Division of Elementary and Secondary Education has not published dates for the 2027–28 school year yet.
A child cannot move onto EFA funding in the middle of a school year. The award begins with the school year. So a family joining us now pays tuition themselves for the rest of this year, applies in the spring window, and the award picks up in the fall.
