Early childhood program for infants
Our infant program serves children 6 weeks – 18 months and is designed with research-based concepts in mind to help with the overall development of the child. Lesson plans are developed by our infant teachers to assist each child in meeting all developmental milestones (PDF).
Sunbeams
Our Sunbeams class is for children ages 6 weeks – 12 months. Children are promoted based on development and classroom availability and not just age.
There are typically 10 babies enrolled in this classroom with 2 teachers. The ratio is 1 teacher: 5 infants.
Infants are provided with a crib, a mattress and a sheet (washed daily), and a receiving blanket. Parents must provide several changes of clothes, diapers and wipes and any other necessary items such as pacifiers. We are not allowed to use pacifier clips or blankets larger than a receiving blanket. We are also not allowed to swaddle or prop a child to sleep.
CCAV utilizes the Procare App where parents get real time updates on feeding, diapering and any incidents that occur. Parents are also able to directly message their children’s teachers through this app.
We provide all food for infants, including formula as long as they are enrolled in the USDA Food Program offered free of charge through our center. The enrollment application for the food program is included in your CCAV enrollment packet. There are strict regulations regarding this program, so if you have any questions, please refer to the website below or simply ask our kitchen or office staff for more information.

We are a breastmilk safe provider, and we will be happy to support all breastfeeding mothers in our facility. Your child’s teachers can help you decide the best way to provide breastmilk for your child. We accept both fresh and frozen breastmilk and use safecare handling guidelines.
Farm
Our Farm class is for children approximately 12 months – 18 months. Children are promoted based on development and classroom availability and not just age.
There are typically 10 children enrolled in this classroom with 2 teachers. The ratio is 1 teacher: 5 children.
Children in Farm are provided with a pack and play or a cot and a sheet (washed weekly or when soiled). Parents must provide several changes of clothes, diapers and wipes, a blanket and any other necessary items such as pacifiers. We are not allowed to use pacifier clips. We are also not allowed to swaddle or prop a child to sleep. Children are required to have 60 minutes of outside play per day.
